Our "Getting Even Nighttime Tallow Cream with Lactic Acid" combines grass-fed tallow with 10% Lactic Acid to:
- nourish skin with fat-soluble vitamins
-provide a gentle exfoliation for smoothing and evening of texture
- improve skin hydration

Lactic Acid is an extremely mild alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that helps to slough off dead skin cells, which can otherwise start to resist shedding as we age and create dull, rough skin. It can help improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and enlarged pores, and compared to other exfoliating acids, Lactic Acid has the added benefit of being a wonderful humectant--drawing moisture to the skin to keep it plump and hydrated.

Our formula's pH is adjusted to a skin-safe 3.86. It is best to start with one or two nighttime applications per week. You can gradually increase the number of applications over the following weeks, eventually working up to nightly applications, if desired. If you experience, burning, swelling, redness, itching, or peeling that does not go away by reducing the frequency of applications, please consult a physician. It's best to not combine the cream with another exfoliant, whether chemical or physical, to reduce the chance of irritation. Since the use of AHAs can increase the skin's sensitivity to the sun, it's best to use Lactic Acid products at night and use a sunscreen during the day.
