Free from drying alcohols, sulfates, silicones, and soap and made with safe and gentle ingredients, our solid shampoo bar includes Grass Fed Tallow, Egg Yolk Oil, Horsetail Extract, and Rice Protein for locks that are both clean and nourished.  

Our bars are all pH-balanced and safe for color treated and curly hair--our yellow "Balanced" bars are a great all around choice for normal hair types and those looking for a nice balance of cleansing and conditioning properties.  These non-drying bars also make great body wash bars!

DIRECTIONS:
Thoroughly wet hair.  Massage bar directly onto scalp and hair strands, or work up a lather in hands and apply with fingertips.  Rinse and follow with an Egg Alchemy Solid Conditioner Bar.

Wondering what each ingredient is for?  Here's why we've thoughtfully added each one to our bars:

Sodium Lauryl Sufoacetate (SLSa)  - an ECOCERT surfactant that is 100% naturally derived from coconut and palm.  It's sulfate-free, extremely gentle, and completely biodegradable (it won't contribute to water pollution).

Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (SCI) - another gentle, coconut/rspo palm-derived surfactant that has a rich creamy lather, leaving a soft, silky feel.

Cocamidopropyl Betaine (CAPB) - a gentle surfactant derived from coconut oil that pairs a mild and creamy lather with anti-irritant properties that increase the mildness of other surfactants it is paired with.  It isn't affected by hard water, making the bars more effective in all water types.

Grass-Fed Tallow - full of healthy fats and vitamins, tallow in an incredible base for skin care products, as it is biologically-similar to our skin’s own oils--it’s highly biocompatible, and highly-absorbable. 

Sodium Lactate - a natural salt and humectant that draws moisture to the hair.

Hydroxypropyltrimonium Honey aka "Honeyquat" - is a derivative of honey that has increased properties of hydrating and moisturizing both skin and hair.

Behentrimonium Methosulfate (BTMS) - a rapeseed-derived conditioning agent that helps to give that "slippy", detangling quality to hair products.

Cetyl Alcohol - a hair-healthy fatty alcohol derived from responsibly sourced palm and palm kernel oil.

Egg Yolk Oil - hand crafted in small batches from our farm's own eggs--this is the most nourishing parts of an egg, concentrated into a rich, golden oil--think of it like an essential oil--from an egg!  Loaded with nourishing-goodness, Egg Yolk Oil is an amazing ingredient for the hair.

Panthenol (ProVitamin B5) - a humectant and conditioning agent that works to restore shine and luster and helps to increase strand strength.

Horsetail Extract - has astringent qualities for scalp health, as well as a high silica content that helps improve hair quality.

Rice Protein - loaded with amino acids to help increase total hair volume as well as to strengthen strands.

Natural Fragrance - made with isolates of aromatic compounds from plants and are considered completely natural, although different from essential oils.

Rosemary Oil - a refreshing oil that stimulates the scalp and can encourage growth.

Mica - added for a bit of color, all of our micas are sourced from ethical supply lines.  While mica is a natural, gray substance, mined from the Earth, all COLORED micas contain pigments which are lab-created to prevent contamination with the likes of lead, arsenic, and mercury that naturally-mined pigments may contain--making them far safer than their 100% natural counterparts.

Phenoxyethanol & Ethylhexylglycerin - a very safe, paraben-free, broad spectrum preservative to protect the bars agains bacteria, mold and yeast.  You can't always smell or see microbial growth, so a preservative is essential for bars that will be in continual contact with water!
